Register distance for Kodak Signet 80?

I purchased a Signet 80, which is the last of the Signet rangefinders by Kodak, and happens to have interchangeable lenses. I have the 50mm, f/2.8 Kodak Ektanar (this and the 90mm are made with thorium=radioactive). I've have a couple of charts which list various camera mounts by register distance, but they have nothing with the Kodaks (the other rangefinder was the Ektra). Does anyone know the distance, or have any experience with these lenses? Thanks.

I had one (35/3.5mm) but passed it on to a friend in the US.I hand held it onto the Pentax K200D and I liked what I saw....I can't help you with the register distance sorry.

The nearest I could find is the Kodak Reflex S...It has a reg distance of 44.7mm, which sounds too big for a rangefinder so its probably not right.

Thanks for your replies. I, still, haven't found any literature concerning the distance. It will be a couple of weeks before I can visually inspect the camera (I'm traveling at the moment), and I can always, then, measure the distance, myself. If I remember correctly, it is the film plane to the back of the lens? Embarassed I will post the results, regardless. (unless, in the mean time, someone finds literature) Smile

I'm pretty sure it should be the distance between the film plane and the front of the lens mount on the camera (i.e., the rear of the lens mount on the lens) ...
