These were taken from my house on the side of the hill so I was in no danger from flood waters. Most of this water you see is still moving down the river system causing havoc as it goes. The tree is usually in a nice dry paddock.

#1 The tree in the centre of this picture at 9am there was no water behind it all this water arrived in about 2 hrs.

#2

#3 looking across the town, you don't see the river at this point in normal circumstances.

#4 The other side of town,it is slightly hazy because of smoke.

Mo

So glad you are up the hill. Fine series of a really destructive natural event. Keep the wellies nearby!

I left the gumboots behind when I ventured out and about. Embarassed So glad I am up the hill as well, as the destruction is horrific in some places.
