Earlier Sigma cameras didn't have SA bayonet type mount. I don't recall but I think I saw once a M42 Sigma and like Sigma SA-1 was a Ricoh copy, so it had/has a K Pentax mount. At least for the late one (SA-1) I'm sure:
An ebay auction Click here to see on Ebay
Sigma SA-1 http://kitatoma.pepo.jp/hobby_room/1_camera/SIGMA_sa-1.htm
vs
Ricoh XR-7 http://butkus.org/chinon/ricoh/xr-7/xr-7.htm (which was marketed under the Sears KS-2 name too http://www.mattdentonphoto.com/cameras/sears_ks2.html )
I wonder if they produced "normal" 50mm lens too.

Starting with SA-5, Sigma adopted its own mount (SA bayonet) which is says that would have some compatibility with the EOS-EF mount.

If you know more, please, post you informations here.
Thank you.

I owned a SA-5 ...

The mount is physically compatible with Pentax K, but the aperture lever interfere with it (I removed the lever from an Adaptall to use my Tamron 500 with it).

The register distance is however different (Pentax lenses focuses beyond infinity).

The Sigma mount is electrically compatible with Canon EOS. With a bit of DIY, some guys managed to replace the EOS mount with a Sigma bayonnet to use on their Sigma DSLR.

The first one, was the SIGMA Mark 1 with M42-Mount. The Kit-Lens is the relative rare Makro-Zoom Sigma XG 1:3,5/39-80 mm.

Look here http://www.kameramuseum.de/1rst/sigma-mark1.html

Best regards

Thank you. Yes this was that. But this also was a Ricoh http://www.ritzcam.com/catalog/images/RicohTLS-as.jpg (under the Singlex name was made a Ricoh camera which had a similar mount with F Nikon) and a Sears http://www.mattdentonphoto.com/cameras/sears-ricoh_tls.html . There might be some differences in the specifications. I didn't look.
The lens are pretty and have a unusual range, similar with Pentax's 40-80 zoom lens.
