Takumar 55/1.8

I am cleaning a Takumar 55/1.8. The problem I have come across is that there is a bit of haze between the the inner rear lenses.

I have removed all of the bonding stuff with acetone, but the inner lenses still won't come apart. I have also tried a bit of heat , but to no avail. Is it possible that the glass is bonded?

Any ideas on how to seperate the glass would be greatly appreciated.

At first, welcome to the forum and enjoy your stay ...

For what concerns your lens, the optical block you are trying to clean is made up of two lenses glued together ...
If the haze you are noticing is effectively between the two lenses, it could be the beginning of a lens separation,
i.e. the optical glue is degenerating ...

While it *seems* to be quite easy to separate them (according to some sources, it *seems* that a bath of very hot oil
would do the job, but i have never tried it), you will have the issue of gluing back them again with the proper alignment ...

Do you feel comfortable with such kind of proceeding and do you have the optical glue (and other tools) to proceed ?

If i were you, i would look for a Tak 55 sold "for parts or repair" and will cannibalize it to build a "new" lens ...
