Cheers for this Luis - I have a Varex VX with the usual 'squawk' and this will come in useful as I wasn't aware of the part about not removing the frame counter disc on these guys. Cool

Great guide

I have many Exakta cameras (they are very cheap) with broken shutters. Exakta cameras are true work of art -all metal, silver and black leather.

Thanks this is very useful. I have a Varex IIa that I might need to replace the shutter curtains on. A bad amateur repairman had already messed up taking it apart and I'd managed to put it back together using other instructions I'd found, but I didn't know how to set the shutter curtains or how to adjust the speeds.
