In Portland, that I may be.
This is my third year photographing the Portland Zombiewalk.
Year 1: Rolleiflex 2.8C
Year 2: Rolleiflex SL-66
Year 3: Hasselblad and 100/3.5 Planar.
This guy makes his own freaky dolls!
Her costume was my fave!
These were shot mostly on Acros in Xtol 1:1. Some were Tri-X rated 200 in the same developer.
More on my blog. |

Life is like a camera. Focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don't work out, just take another shot. |

I forgot to mention that #6 and #9 are Tri-X rated 200.
In the past, I did not like the results I was getting with Tri-X (too grainy). This time, it looked quite good. Perhaps Tri-X has changed or perhaps in the past I used the Pro 320 ISO. This is the only kind we can get now, 400. Good news though as I could use the extra stop in dark gray Portland.
Also, I am very impressed with the Planar 100/3.5. Very sharp. Crazy sharp at f/8. I hadn't used it much since I fell deeply in love with the S-Planar 120/5.6, my only other Hassy lens.
It is always a very fun event. Portlanders really live up to our motto "Keep Portland Weird". |
