I have borrowed this lens - it's not mine..
It's not definitely Zeiss Planar 1.4/50 but still very interesting lens
very prone to flare..
hard to focus - I used LiveView a lot but nice colours and bokeh (?)
not my favorite lens but very well built
just a few snaps as I do not have too much time in these days

I love the bokeh. Not Zeiss quality but not bad quality either. Good for those who cannot afford the Zeiss:wink: _________________ https://lensfever.com/

Very nice series. However, I'm surprised about the statement saying that its is very prone to flare. The ML version is supposed to be multi coated compared to single coated for the YUS and DSB.
If even the ML is prone to flare then imagine the two other ones...I personally don't have an f1.4 ML but I'm very happy with my ML f1.7
Is your lens having any coating issue? Or perhaps you were comparing the flare resistance versus the T*? _________________ Duc

I second your opinion on bokeh and colours.
But it neither was my favourite lens, so I sold it again.
It's strange, but although the Yashicas constantly impress me, I never fall in love with them. I can't even say why. I like the Electro 35GS and its lens a lot, but the SLR lenses? I've sold all of them (but one) again. It's weird, because the results I got with them were by no means worse than with other brands... _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!

Nice series! I had one too, but sold it as it wasn't as nice as the Carl Zeiss lens. _________________ Graham - Moderator
