Having seen this lens demonstrated previously by other posters, and seen the quality control issues experienced, I thought I'd pick up one and put it through its paces as well
You'll have to excuse the wonky examples, everything was handheld on my Canon EOS 5D whilst out on a beach walk. No pp other than convert to JPG and 20% 0.5px unsharp mask.
18mm @ f/4
18mm @ f/5.6
18mm @ f/8
18mm @ f/4
18mm @ f/5.6
18mm @ f/8
18mm @ f/4
18mm @ f/5.6
18mm @ f/8
The lens obviously vignettes heavily and suffers from quite severe field curviture. But...it seems sharp in the middle!
How about at 28mm?
28mm @ f/4.5
28mm @ f/5.6
28mm @ f/8
28mm @ f/4.5
28mm @ f/5.6
28mm @ f/8
Same again really!
How about infinity?
18mm @ f/4
18mm @ f/5.6
18mm @ f/8
18mm @ f/4
18mm @ f/5.6
18mm @ f/8
Not so good at infinity It's better at 28mm there:
28mm @ f/4.5
28mm @ f/5.6
28mm @ f/8
28mm @ f/4.5
28mm @ f/5.6
28mm @ f/8
Few more snaps:
Verdict? Fun lens! Reminds me of a Holga lens! It's sharp in the middle, suffers on the left side but renders quite nicely in the centre _________________ Graham - Moderator

+1 not bad at all if you not shoot to infinity and not bad at all especially for it's price , usually go for peanuts. _________________ -------------------------------

It was a very early ultra wide lens for full frame Vignetting can be removed in Photoshop, although I guess it won't be so bad on a crop sensor camera _________________ Graham - Moderator
