I'm looking for a fully-functioning Cosina CSM camera body. Must be fully serviceable with good light seals etc. I'm not really interested in anything that "needs a bit of work" as my repair budget is going on a pair of Pentax bodies.
What ya got? |

OK, it does need new seals around film chamber, all seems to be working inc the self timer, haven't tested the metering attachment but no reason to think its knackered, comes in the proper leather cosina case as does the adapter, no body cap though, somewhere there must be a mountain of them lol. |

It sounds lost and unloved in your collection
...and me being ever the sucker for a lost soul...
Just had a squint on fleabay and it turns out you can buy the seals, so that should be within my limited skills. Seems a shame to turn it away seeing as it even has it's overcoat
How many of my English pounds would prize your fingers from it?

Hi Graham, not sure what it's worth and to be honest I'll probably not use it so how about you donate £15 to the forum fund and I'll get it sent off to you, if that's ok with you pm me your mame/address and I'll get it sent off to you.

Splendid, I shall do that. I'll PM my details after I send Attila some money. Then perhaps you'd at least let me send you the postage too.
No rush, probably best to wait until after chrimbo before you send it, so it doesn't sit in a damp Royal Mail warehouse for days on end.
Huge thanks, much appreciated |

Can I ask why you are after a CSM? I have one and use it a fair bit but my connection is more personal the CSM being the first SLR I had. That being said it is a nice camera to use. |

Lots of reasons really. As you say, a nice camera to use. Also nostalgia as I had one many years ago. And lastly I find the auto metering add-on curious and fun (I never had the auto add-on previously) and it would be fabulous to have aperture-priority with my M42 lenses.
I've always had a soft spot for the late-70s/early 80s Cosinas. In the new year I may try to find a good CS3 for my PK lenses, but that will solely be for nostalgia. I remember it being my favourite camera once |

I had the add on module on my original CSM alas it got stolen going through JFK airport, it was quite nice to have. There was also a slightly higher model the CSR (I think) that had spot metering as well as I recall, its one of the cameras I fancy getting but I have not seen any come up at a price I can afford. |
