I'm not sure what's causing the banding and the non-black blacks. I still don't know how film behaves. If someone can offer a possible explanation, I'd appreciate it.

auto level can fix the gray blacks in seconds
the banding is probably from the scanner

@poilu: I didn't post-process the photos because I'm still in the experimental stage of learning film photography.

Yeah, an FB contact told me the same re the banding.
