I saw that m42 version it's different from Nikon one, in external appearance:

m42

Are there also differences in terms of picture quality?
What models are there of this lens?
Could you clarify these differences?

Thank you very much.

As far as I know, they are the same lens with different mounts.

Mounts are interchangeable. The two versions linked are made by different factories (KMZ and Arsenal). Don't know if there is any differences in quality.

Some other members here have the Nikon version, maybe they can post some photos too. so we can compare. I have the M42 version. It's virtually comparable to the CZJ Flektogon 2.4/35, not quite so sharp at the edges possibly. The big difference is the rendering of colours - the Mir is warmer with lovely rich reds. Click on the link for the whole series and a picture of the lens on the 400D

Moved by some paranoiac posts on the Internet I bought “the Nikon” sample from Arsenal, however already owned M42 MC from Krasnogorsk. Only to find later that there is no difference in terms of the performance. Evil or Very Mad

Fortunately, the price for all business was only $40
