Ramayana story, with south-east Asian flavors, is the main theme of the Dance Festival 2011.
This year, a group of Javanese Traditional Dancers from Solo, Indonesia performed the Wayang Wong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayang_wong) with Gamelan live on the stage for 3-nights during the festival.
Here are some pictures taken on the first act of that dance, 'At The Dandaka Forest', where Rama, Sita and Lakhsmana exile in Dandaka forest. Rahwana come and then Surpanakha to change to Golden deer, as a trick which lead to eventually lead Rahwana to kidnap Sita.
Pictures were taken using Nikon 85/2.
