Nice to have that, a bit outdated by newer models, but a good reference about those
older types lenses, still to be found today and quite useful for macro work! _________________ Klaus - Admin

Although it's nice to see such a test, resolution numbers alone are hardly adequate as a measure of performance for such lens types. |

What else do you think should be tested in an enlarging lens test, aside from vignetting and flare, field flatness (although edge sharpness tells you that to some degree)?

Thanks ! Great find.
The lesson here is - if you are looking at Schneiders, get the Componon.
Granted, these things may all be too sharp to distinguish between them on most DSLR's.
Considering that 50mm enlarging lenses in lots can be had at $2 apiece, if you want one hold out for the best. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
