Made few test HD videos using YASHICA ML 1.4/50mm. I managed to transfer only few. Others just make file name with 0Kb on my hard drive. Video plays correctly on camera.

I have the same issue, but my pc is just to old and clunky to play them. Could this be the issue you have?

If you can get them onto your computer, they're *.mov files so you need a player that can handle Quicktime clips.

VLC wiill play them with a few tweaks:

VLC settings for 5DII clips:

I have both the 5D2 and VLC and this works on a Windows XP SP3 machine - VLC wouldn't play 5D2 clips properly until I tried these settings.

No, they don't transfer correctly. 200Mb file is done i few seconds (should take more then minute) and KB shown is 0. Few files did transfer correctly. Even the largest one 450Mb. My PC is old true. XPsp1 forever Smile.

Ah, right - maybe your card reader is stuffed?

My PC would probably die for good with 200mb. It struggles with photos.

My computer is a P4 3.4gHz with 2gB RAm that's now down to 1...

It struggled with 5D pano stitching when I had 2gB of RAM but was fine with single shots, now stitching is virtually impossible and it struggles a bit with 5D2 single images although it's OK with video clips.

It would likely commit suicide if I hit it with some 5D2 panos though...

Using USB cable. So i will have to keep those files on card forever Wink?

A friend had a similar problem transferring using USB, cured by using a card reader. Perhaps borrow rather then buy a card reader to see if that helps, or try with a laptop with built in card reader.

I'll try that. Thank you all for help.

I have no problems with my 5D MkII.
I always upload files with a card reader. Easy and fast. Smile
