This evening I was out shooting with my new Lydith 30mm 3.5 and decided to stop at the market on my way home. With camera slung around my neck, I boldly walked through the store and gathered my groceries content in the knowledge that I was packing awesome glass.
Content... until I looked down and saw the awesome glass was bare! The lens cap was gone!
I had glanced down just after I walked into the market and saw that the cap was there, so it must've fallen off somewhere in the market. It was just a slip-on kind of cap, so there was nothing really holding it on, and I should have expected such a thing Rookie maneuver!
Sadly, after an hour of searching the place, it was nowhere to be found. I guess I need a replacement! Would any of you have any suggestions on how to obtain one? Possibly one that's a bit more clip-on? I can't have a Lydith as my walk around lens and not have a good cap _________________

49mm thread so caps are very easy to obtain, metal screw-on type will definitely not fall off. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I buy half a dozen 49mm caps at a time. Always useful and very common. Plus new lenses come from sellers naked. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

My local shop didn't have any of the center pinch caps, so I got one basically just like my old one, but it fits more snugly. It's 51mm. The 50 was too small and the 52 too big _________________

HAMA do some cheap caps also!
I also have the 30mm f3.5, bloomin awesome sharp lens!! Mine however can only go to f11???? It should be able to go to f22 but stops at f11. No idea why but i never go over f8 usually anyway so not a problem. _________________ Andy
