The ones with the least PP look the best to me. Some of the others look over-saturated and artificial, which makes it hard to judge the lens and probably does it an injustice.
Know the Lammas well - I've played in the bandstand by the river there. _________________ Peter - Moderator |

Wow, I did not know that Staines could be so photogenic! The colours on that fir tree are wonderful as is the rendering all the way through the series. It must have taken some skill to focus that lens as it's a very narrow DOF. How much saturation did you add to the images? I am interested in trying FD colour as it is quite distinctive and has a real personality to it. |

Actually I find the shallower the DOF the easier is to focus a lens exactly where you want.

Only a couple of them have slightly boosted saturation...The Artwork and the Fir Tree fronds...The rest are pretty much their original colour, but I did have to remove a little CA in the OOF areas of some of them.
You can sometimes get a bit of green/yellow CA in the OOF areas when wide open, but its easy to remove with PS. |

Its exactly what amazed me so much when I first got this lens. Its as sharp wide open as the Carl Zeiss 85mm f1.4 Planar T is stopped down to at least f2.8 or even to f4!...Needless to say my FD-L instantly made my Zeiss redundant and I sold it soon after.
It did'nt even bother me that I could reach infinity with the Zeiss but only to about 18 feet with the FD-L because 18 feet is plenty for portrait work, and thats what the FD-L was really designed for. Besides, I still have my lovely Mamiya 645 80mm f2.8 N around for when I need infinity.
