Working with a bellows has been fun, but I soon wished for a macro rail. When I saw a gorgeous Asahi Pentax macro bellows/rail with the SMC Bellows Takumar 100mm f4 included I didn't hesitate!
The bellows/rail is old-school Pentax, built like a tank and silky smooth. It's heavy as heck, I think I'm going to keep my old bellows for handheld shots.
It's a funny lens, a preset with no focusing helicoid at all. But on the bellows it actually can focus to infinity, I suppose it could be used as the world's most cumbersome portrait lens.
Here's a couple of frosty samples from this morning.
