I'm actually stuck and I can't be able to choose between one of the two Elmarit: 90mm or 60mm macro.
Main use portrait: 60mm is a more comfortable focal lenght for my use and macro is a welcome addition (even if i'm not much into it), but I've seen and read so good about the 90...
As said, i'm pretty stuck
Any suggestion will be appreciated |

Micro-Nikkor 3.5/55 is dirt cheap and hard to beat. Mine was 35eu roughly and it is one lens I will never sell.
Then you are still left with the budget for a 90mm. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I had both 90mm in two versions , 60mm in one. Both good lens and from one price you can buy multiply others just like Ian did suggest. I sold both I didn't find any of them above than other makers offer. _________________ -------------------------------

Depend of what is the lens that you need. The narrower 90 mm angle, better for portraits than the 60 mm. But the last have the angle of some humans eyes, and ‘cos that can be a lens very nice to use.
My prefer is the 60 mm, I use the 58/1,2 minolta and it’s not a macro one.
The 60 lens should be my option. |

If you want Leica and the budget is tight, I would suggest 90mm C-Elmar. It's a very nice small lens and the cost is very reasonable (for Leica). http://forum.mflenses.com/viewtopic.php?t=56269 For the money you've saved buy a Japanese 85mm/1.8 or J-9 and you have also a high speed option for the times when f4 is too slow. _________________ Many lenses and some film bodies for sale here: http://forum.mflenses.com/canon-fd-minolta-md-c-mounts-m42-pentax-and-more-t50465.html

the budget is 350€ and I've seen both the 90 and the 60 goin around that price here
55mm is a focal that I already have both in mf (helios44) and af (Pentax DA*55 1,4 which is superb) that means that i don't want another 55 so if I'd pick the 60 instead of the 90 would be for the macro capability |
