I have two Nikkor-S non-AI f1.4 50mm lenses. Both need repairs. One has an aperture blade that has come off the assembly the other has haze (not mold, just a lot of dust) behind the front assembly. So I need to find a resource for repairing them. I took the one with the aperture problem apart (it has screws in the back) but could not figure out how to get the aperture assembly out. The other has no screws on the back, and is a MUCH lower SN, so it's probably older and differently constructed.

I did some searches to find threads, but each search returned a 404 page. I also did some Google web searches to see if there were any repair guides online. I didn't find any that answered my questions.

Does anyone here have any experience or pointers?

Rick Oleson has done one of his exploded sketches on this lens David

Blasted heck. If I'd only pulled on the front of the assembly I would have had it. Tomorrow I'll try again.
