Thanks, Attila! I hate to sell it but I'm raising money for another lens...
It needs to be said that later versions of Jupiter-9 are not as good as this one. Anyone can google for it. I found this http://forum.mflenses.com/which-version-of-jupiter-9-is-the-sharpest-read-on-t33858.html |

My problem with this lens is that it doesn't quite focus infinity on my Pentax K-x. This was taken with K100D, f/2 and focus set infinity: http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/1018/imgp3954a.jpg |

Jupiter-9 is adjustable very well, adjustable to reach infinity well even for Nikon. _________________ -------------------------------

I will look into it if it doesn't sell... I have Zuiko 85/2 and Helios 85/1.5, so it has tough competition... |

This lens is SLR lens from adjusting perspective no matter M39 or M42, due this lens has M42 register distance , don't need to adjust for Canon. You need an M42 EOS adapter + M39->M42 ring. _________________ -------------------------------

Zenit M39 register distance is 45.2mm.
Pentax M42 register distance is 45.46mm.
So there is a difference of 0.26mm, which may cause problems... |

At infinity distance wide open perhaps, I did use successfully this method at infinity at F8-F11 ( I never shoot wide open this distance)
and naturally works well in portrait distance at any aperture. _________________ -------------------------------

It worked well with my K100D but not with K-x. There is sample variation in flange distance with Pentax bodies. My SMC Takumar 55/1.8 doesn't focus infinity either. I know AF lenses are supposed to focus over infinity because it helps the focusing system.
I added some pics of the lens to the first post.
EDIT: The lens is sold.... |
