A 1" sensor has a diagonal image size of 16mm (and NOT 25.4mm!!). A Lumix has about 23mm sensor diagonal - see the difference?

So of course there woudl be vignetting, but since at longer focal lengths, the image size increases, longer focal lengths (usually from about 30-50mm onwards) have enough coverage to fill the sensor w/o vignetting. But that does not mean a sharp image in the corners and area outside teh 16mm image circle, as usually this area outside the 16mm image circle is not well defined by the lens design; it is just a by-product more or less coincidential. _________________ Klaus - Admin
