I got it cheaply, it is the last MC-version, which I like very much with the D700. The adapter works perfectly well.

@f 2.8 ISO 320 Balloons:

@f 2.8 ISO 320 Flower-pot. I wanted to check the bokeh (Focus on the green plant in the pot). The picture was taken at a small back-yard booksale.
In the back were tents and people. I find the bokeh quite distracting:

That's true, Attila. And that is why I ordered three Nikon-bajonets from Leitax
to convert my Leica lenses 19mm/2.8, 90mm/2.8 and Apo-Telyt 180mm/3.4, so I can use them with the D700. I don't want to sell them over Ebay, as prices are going down.

I thought that thing in third pic was a beheaded snake... what is it?
Some kind of sausage?

I think the bokeh isn't bad, only the OOF lights are a bit ring-shaped. Sometimes helps to stop the lens a bit - did you try the same shot at f/3.2 or so?

Thanks for the hint. No I didn't yet. I just started to experiment with the full aperture and got some nice fotos, with a decent bokeh. The background of the first picture looks very good to me.

Hi!
I don't like the bokeh in the second shot either. But the "rest" is nice.
BTW, good that you did not sell your Leitz lenses, these are some of the best lenses ever produced!

Here is another picture at @f 2.8 with 'interesting' bokeh:

Hello everyone, I'm a new guy here Wink . I went into Pentacon SIX TL with standard Biometar MC 80/2.8 which I mounted on my D700 via ARAX SHIFT Adapter (I like it very much). Here is one of my first tests shots with this setup. I must admit this lens is charming Twisted Evil . Enjoy.

Hi Don Martinello,

since it is a rule in this group that the first mail cannot contain pictures, I took the liberty to hijack it and put it here:

Very nice picture. Congrats and welcome to the group!

My version of this lens has a focusing disorder - I think it was reassembled wrong. These results make me want to do something about it.

Welcome Don Martinello - nice start.

Hi folks,

2 days ago I played with my new studio lights and of course I couldn't resist to take a shot with lovely CZJ Bio 80/2.8 Wink.
It's just a little long for studio work (minimal focusing distance), but it gives pretty good results (I have a suspicion that in
terms of sharpness it can outclass Nikon's 50/1.8, will test it some day).

Cheers, M.

I was using this lens extensively with my D700 these days so I decided yesterday to make quick wallpaper (dedicated to this site). Enjoy...
