I do have Sigma mini-wide in KA mount and trying to justify purchase of another 28mm. If anyone has both of them please post some samples and your opinion. The only limitation I have here is that must be KA mount.

I have used both but have neither at present, I would say the Pentax A is slightly better but there really isn't much difference.
For Pentax A look here:

For Sigma look here:

I looked already on the pentax forums and it looks like they are almost the same but on the other side Sigma has only 17 reviews compared to 44 for pentax, therefore the evaluation is not really comparable.
I need someone who has both lenses to post samples of the same subject here. Please!
What I know is that Sigma produces cold/blue colors and it looks like that is sharp enough already wide open, maybe sharper than Pentax-A 28mm 2.8...
EDIT:
I have way to many 28mm lenses and do not know if I should get another one. It is really hard to justify (LBA syndrome)...
Kiron 28mm f2 (C/Y)
OM 28mm f3.5
Konica AR 28mm f3.5 (2x)
Super Takumar 28mm f3.5
Vivitar 28mm f2.5 Auto (FD) with 62m filter diameter
Nikon 28mm f2.8 Series E (just sold it today) _________________

hope someone will come along who has both lenses.
What I can say is that the Pentax A 2.8/28 is impressively sharp and identical to my Vivitar close focus 2.8/28 and a Yashinon-DS, my S-M-C Tak 3.5/28mm falls behind, a few other 28mm lenses I have more so _________________ my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/collections |

I've owned both, and looking at my test shots I'd say that Sigma is very, very good. Close to Pentax, may be even just as good. |

Thanks anyway... Many people have super-wide and not mini-wide but rumors are that mini-wide is better than super-wide. It just happen that I got mini-wide didn't even use it for a very long time but while it has KA mount I just took it out from storage box and now I am intrigued. I probably sooner or later will get pentax-a 28mm 2.8 while I do like pentax colors but still again I do not want to start collecting 28mm lenses. _________________
