Mirrors at the zoo...

Took the kids to the zoo today. It was a very sunny autumn day so I thought I'd take along a couple of mirror lens to play with on the 5D. A chinon 300 and a Tamron 350. Here's a few of the results.

The Chinon was pretty good... better than I thought it would be.

But the Tamron, of course, was a treat.

Yes, great shots from the Tamron. Liked the Chinon ones too.

the lion photo is EXCELLENT!

Thanks all.

Precise focusing is an interesting point... The Tamron was butter smooth and very precise and quick to use. The Chinon in comparison was relatively stiff to focus and so quite slow to use and not as bright - a respectable lens but not in the same league as the Tamron.

Another Meerkat, they were six weeks old.

And the Lions...

Hi,
They look great. The 350 CAT really shines here.

The Tamron is always excellent, and your shots show its true potential! Smile

The Chinon is a very light lens, but also very low on contrast from my experience. They still sell for £200.00+ though Shocked Shocked
