Visited Beal Birds of prey centre today, unfortunately the birds where not flying today due to High wind, but managed to get some pics of them in there enclosures
Used the Sony A700 and the Beercan most at F6.3

lovely. i have a special place in my heart for these beautiful and noble creatures. where i live, we have a 'resident' red tailed hawk family and often see bald eagle, as well as turkey vultures. i once saved a hawk on my property from a gamg of crows. he repaid me by waiting for me to get my camera and then posed for ten minutes of pictures! true story. great job on these captures.

re #8, owls can look pretty surly in the daylight.
