Altix

Today I couldn't ressist I bought an Altix (looks brand new) with box, paper work etc. I was never interested ever about this cam even if I try Telefogar 90mm f3.5 (Altix lens) and found this is one of the cheapest , but excellent German made portrait lens option. Telefogar sold and now I have a working looks new Altix Do you have any experience with this cam ?

Looks very interesting little camera. I have no doubts that in your hands it will perform like a Contax

I had an Altix-n as well. It came with the 50mm Tessar and the 90mm Telefogar but I only shoot two rolls of film. The camera is solidly built and the lenses are quiete good (a tessar is a tessar). I was allways missing the rangefinder since it is not easy to focus a 90mm lens. I had an external rangefinder (a combimeter) but IMO there are cams more usefull than the Altix.

Perhaps you can show a pic of the cam itself. There are minimum 3 different type of the n-version (different type of lettering/logo) and additional 2 types of viewfinder (round and square)

First roll is done, surprisingly I am happy with camera, NO RF, NO Lightmeter but well designed , cute little one. Viewfinder is big and clear , benefits from NO RF. Due I use most film camera at F8-F11 and on bright daily light an external RF did do job well.
