looking at one of these and can't find out much info, front ring inscribed with Ww, does anyone know or have used this lens, asking price is £59.

"Ww" stands for Weitwinkel - "wide angle". I've never come across a 25mm one, but the 28mm was a reasonably good budget-priced wideangle, 1970s or 80s vintage, I think.

Thanks Stephen, I got a few hits on the 28 but nothing on a 25mm, did see a Tamron 25 but it looks nothing like it, photo of the Raynox here http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af273/AKBAMAX/2011/10_Oct/01_5th/RAYNOXlens3.jpg

I saw that too. Previous 28mm models were Cimko lenses, so I wouldn't expect massively high quality results, but who knows?

The Ensinor 2.8/28 and 2.4/28 are both Cimko made lenses and both are good, I have two copies of the 28 and apart from the coatings being not so great causing flare without a deep hood, they are good lenses. The results others have got from the 24 version were also good.

Not sure I want to spend circa £60 on a whim, I've done it to much lately Rolling Eyes think I'll keep the money towards a Voigtlander 75 or 90

I'd pass too, although 24mm lenses are quite expensive, 60ukp should get you a good one with some patience.
