I bought this lens (Olympus Zuiko Digital 14 mm - 45 mm F/3.5-5.6 Lens) as it shows four thirds as mount, but it won't fit on my Lumix GH1 M43 camera.

So whats micro 4/3rds? I know the micro 4/3rd camera will need an adapter to use a 4/3rds lenses. I am sure that you will hear from from members that use this camera. Very Happy Attila used to use the GH1.

to use fourthirds digital lenses on micro fourthirds bodies you need a mount adapter with electrical contacts

Absolutely correct.

This is the very first budget zoom lens for the Four Thirds reflex system. Because of the all-electrical operation of focus and aperture, you will need either the Olympus MMF-1 or MMF-2 or the Panasonic DMW-MA1 4/3 to m4/3 adapters with electrical connections. Unless you have other 4/3 lenses, I think it is not worth the cost for the 14-45. Better buying a m4/3 kit zoom lens instead.

Indeed.

And even if you buy the correct adapter, the lens won't autofocus on a GH1, because of some quirks on the first generation Panasonic M43 cameras...

Cheers!
