Very nice!
How do you change the aperture of the lens as there is no A/M switch (?) and no adapter can be found with flange for the Sony alpha mount AFAIK? |

I used the popular ,common method of sleeving the auto diaphragm pin with a plastic cut from ball point refills.
Here is the same method, performed on a Mamiya SX lens

Thats been around for a long time now.
Lets try and reread Minolfan's question. He is talking about the A/M switch on some manual focus lenses -where when you set it in M mode you can set the aperture manually. Some like the Fujinon here in this thread, do not have that A/M switch-hence a minor disabling of the auto aperture pin enables it to become fully manual. Most folks that have been using manual lenses on DSLRs are familiar with this.
The AF chipped adapter does not turn the aperture ring for you-it recognizes the lens to be of the programmed focal length and aperture-and reports that as EXIF data, when processing.

Kathmandu i know they have been around for ages, but the difference with this one it has a Flange, that when you screw a lens in that has a pin it pushes the pin in and allows you to control the aperture.
Hence not needing to modify the lenses
Non flanged version
Flanged version you can see it covers the pin

No problem, TBH i just hit on that adaptor by accident and then went ahhh thats a good idea.
Also congrats on those pics the sunsets are amazing, I unfortunatly dont have nice skylines to take pics like these.
I can recomend an app though if you want to take moon and sunset pics get Lighttrac on the iphone it uses your gps and compass to plot where the sun is and where the sun will set great for finding locations and working out when the sun will set in the spot
And you shoot with one of the best cameras out there imho (not that i am biased) _________________ My web site www.digital-darkroom.weebly.com

Thank you Jes and Attila, for your valuable feedback-I appreciate it. I have changed the images now,(I agree with you both) where it does not have the confusing frame-The image has to be the center of palate.
