A little google'ing shows little info on this lens.

NoName brand brought into the UK for the Dixon stores, don't know who made them.

Just thought I'd post some pictures so you could see the results.

Tripod used, seems sharpest at F8.

Light at 600g but quite long.

[Origanal then Crop no PP.]

I think those look like encouraging results. On my screen they seem a bit lacking in contrast (could be my screen) but that's easily fixed.

One hint based on past experience - sometimes the rear element gets dusty/misty, especially if the lens has been stored without a back cap. If you haven't looked, it might be worth checking on. But, that element is quite a long way inside the narrow body tube . . . getting at it might be a bit tricky.

Glass is clean....yeah Photoshop does a good job on the contrast and colours so no problem there. Just wanted to post as it came out the camera.

Wasn't expecting too much from this lens...and think its just ok.

I think I've owned one of these before too, is it the really thin and light preset model? The 400/6.3 is just as useful too, and presumably made by the same company.

The 300/5.6 is definately a carry anywhere lens due to its weight, but as you say, contrast is a bit low. Nice examples though Smile
