I ordered this lens. too bad I'm gonna out of town for a week, maybe I cannot touch it, until September 4th. It look like Schneider Kreuznach Xenon.
I heard Isco is part of Schneider Kreuznach, is that true?
Any experience with it?
Thanks

Well, i think i have read somewhere that ISCO stands for Ioseph Schneider COmpany, which has been a subsidiary of Schneider-Kreuznach during several years ...
But i have no clue about the Westrocolor ...

I think Westrocolor, and Westromat are the same lenses for all purposes- Nice lens congrats! Here is mine.

This will keep your LBA away for a week. Wink
I found it sharp, performs well in low light, beautiful bokeh -very light on the camera for undercover work.Wink

Nice lens you have, Kath. Mine is exakta mount with protude part for shutter, and I think it;s full metal with zebra finish on front.
I hope this lens perform at least same as yours

Captain Jack's site is worth bookmarking for anything related to Exacta mount lenses. I found the site useful for research on Isco lenses I was looking at buying. Can't wait for pics from you Westrocolar when it arrives. I've got a Westrenar which is 50mm f2.8 with a very pretty chrome finish in M42 that performs not too badly which I must use more often.

I have one ISCO lens, a 150mm Edixa - Westanar and have found it very sharp and with good CA control, but is very slow at f/4.5. Just FYI, when they say Edixa, they're M42.

I'll post some pics in oversize gallery for you. No pics of the actual lens at the moment though.

I like the portrait of the boy!
The plastic toy seems to be sharp enough.

Yes, visit their webpage:
http://www.isco.eu/
They were a long time competitors of Schneider Kreuznach in cinema projection lenses for example. 2008 Schneider Kreuznach bougth ISCO.

Thanks woodrim, std & zonev... So before 2008 there's no connection between them. in other word, old Isco lenses didn't have any relation with Schneider?
