Take a lens from a broken folding camera like Schneider Radionar for experimental use. I have seen acceptable results even from Lubitel lens; member Rob Leslie dit some work with it. |

I mean the heavier the lens, the heavier the adapter .. until the the whole camera and tripod tilts forward. _________________ MF: Kodak DCS SLR/c; Samsung NX10; OM-10; Canon T50

Try to get from UK, usually shipping cost is very reasonable. _________________ -------------------------------

Yes, shipping is way too expensive.

The Mir, Arsat, photex and other Kiev/Pentacon lenses are ok. Stay away from their wider angle lenses as they aren't sufficiently sharp and you'll notice quite a bit of loss in contrast at the corners. Also when used in a tilt/shift set-up these lenses flare horribly with a good amount of lateral chromatic aberration. I would probably opt for Mamiya 64 lenses as they are quite sharp and have nice contrast and color reproduction. I haven't used a Mirex adapter though, so for all I know they may have the same problems. |
