This way I can shoot either 6X9 or 5X4 with the same camera.

Next to straighten out that rangefinder actuator plate and make a new lens board for any new lens I get for it. I'm thinking of using a solid billet and mill it out to size. I think it will be easier than using 2 separate 1/8" aluminum plates and spot welding them together.

Wish me luck!! LOL

The adapt-a-roll is a very strange beast.

I am still on my first roll with one, using a 2 1/2x3 1/4 one on a Model C Pressman as it happens.

Thats the going rate for it btw.

I've seen them offered for much more but this one seemed more in line with what one is really worth. I hope this one rolls the correct way or I'll have to modify it as soon as I get it. Does your's roll up correctly or does it wind film side out?

Got the film holders and they look great. Thanks.

I hope you can use them.

My Adapt-a-roll goes film-out, like all of them I think. There may be something that can be done about modifying the knob to wind the other way.

Someone on the large format forum did that. I'll look into the modification when it arrives. It's just mechanical and that is what I do for a living...Though on a massively larger scale!!! LOL

I got the actuator plate straightened out and now the rangefinder works as it should.

I have the new lens board made from 2 pieces of aluminum but some final tweaking is needed to have it working properly. I'm joining them with 4-40 counter sink screws with the screw heads on the inside. That will happen tonight at work. I'll do a solid billet one next.

I've yet to fab the clip to hold the ground glass. That too will happen tonight if the equipment at work holds up! Laughing

The adaptaroll has arrived and after looking it will bwe an easy fix to get the takeup roll winding the other way. A simple matter of flipping the clutch plate over and reassembling it. Warning here though...If you take the winding knob off, BE VERY CAREFUL!!!! Do the take apart over a bowl or Pan so you do not loose the spring and roller!!! They will fly out and are hard to find!!! I spent an hour with a magnet finding mine! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I have about fifty front plates finished for the lens boards...Yes I said fifty! I'll try to get the back plates finished in a day or so. I found some 1/16" thick brushed aluminum plate and decided...What the heck...I'll just do a bunch of them while I have things set up. The set up is the hard part...the doing is easy. Laughing I am planning on using epoxy to bond the parts as soon as I have a gluing jig made to keep the parts properly aligned.

I'm also bidding on a 3A camera to get the lens...I believe it is a 173mm one. Look here.....

You can start selling those lovely lensboards I think.
Not sure what the market is, but I'm sure there is one.
Offer to drill the lens hole to spec.

The 3A you are bidding on has a Rapid Rectilinear.
If you are not the high bidder, let me know. I have a spare I can send you gratis (Rapid Rectilinear that is) from a parts camera. Clean, shutter works.

If you want the 170mm Tessar with Compound (working) I also have a spare.
