There should be one according to this (page 72: 45,2 register distance, M39x1 thread).

A few of the early Industar 61 macro lenses were never produced. There was a I-61A 2.8/52, that would have interchangeable m42 and m39 mounts, and an I-61M. Those never got passed the prototype stage. All predecessors to the common Industar 61 L/Z, I would think. |

there are at least 2 Industar 61 versions. Industar 61 L/Z is m42 mount and Industar 61 L/D is m39 mount, L/Z has close focus ability and L/D doesn't. it's minimum focus distance is 1m. _________________ my tools:Oly E-M5 + 45mm/1.8 + Oly E-520 + 12-60 + 14-42 + 70-300 + Sigma 105mm + FL-50R + EC20 + SRF-11 ring flash

I wonder why they are in that 1970 catalog?
edit: doesn't sound like a prototype because page 74 lists front and rear cap, case and pasport as accessories coming with the lens. _________________ MF: Kodak DCS SLR/c; Samsung NX10; OM-10; Canon T50

"Industar-61-3" - for SLR cameras. Was designed from the very first versions of the lens for SLR cameras, and then replaced with option "Industar-61-A."
"3" - not nomber - its a letter, letter "Z" in russian and its mean for a SLR
"Зеркальный" = "Zerkalny" = "Mirror" _________________ _____________________________________

They looked almost the same in the print but now that I look more closely there is a dot in '3' and a little hook in '3'.
Still can't find a photo of anything that looks like the lens in page 72? Totally different than the rangefinder version or the L/Z. _________________ MF: Kodak DCS SLR/c; Samsung NX10; OM-10; Canon T50

So it never went to production but replaced by the 61-A which is basically same as 61L/Z?
Mystery remains why it went to the lens catalog althought but I don't have the resources to study that further. You would have to find some people that were working at KMZ in the late 60's. But now I know why I can't find any on the market or even a photo. _________________ MF: Kodak DCS SLR/c; Samsung NX10; OM-10; Canon T50

Yes, I could not find any pictures or tests or reviews of this lens. Perhaps, in the factory at the last minute change the plans for the production of this lens, but the catalog has already been printed. etc _________________ _____________________________________
