There are loads of fireworks displays in Japan in the summer. I went to a couple and had a go at shooting fireworks for the first time. I used my D3000 with 18-55 kit lens. I shot in manual mode at iso 100 f8-16. Camera was mounted on a (crap) tripod and I used a remote shutter release in bulb mode. Most exposures were between 3 and 5 seconds.

There are lots more displays during August so if you have any advice, let us know. Very Happy
