I got a Uni Topcon camera with a UV Topcor 53mm f2 lens. Problem is I can remove the lens from the body but it comes off as incomplete. The part with the mount, ASA marks & aperture marks are still on the body. Should this also come off with the lens?

I got an image off the web and I marked the 2 sets as A & B. Part B I am able to remove but part A is still on the camera. Anyone knows if part A can be removed from the camera or the lens itself is part B.

How do you remove part A? (if possible or needed by the lens)

Hi,

I think you are out of luck ... If i remember well, what is labeled as "Part A" in your picture cannot be removed from the camera (that's the reason why UV Topcon lenses, unlike RE Topcon lenses, cannot be adapted to other bodies) ...

that is indeed a shame. the lens is so clean and nice!
i am tempted to hack the camera body but not until i can confirm if i can use it on a new mount.
thanks
