This conversion is gonna be fully reversible.
What about the performance?
I think this version has warmer colours than FD 85 f1.2 L version .CA appears in MAGENTA/GREEN whereas the 85 f1.2 L has CA is more in RED/BLUE or MAGENTA/BLUE, if I remember right.
My FD 85 f1.2 L is in bits - I can not do a comparison now, maybe later on
This lens is absolutely worth of every penny.
all pictures taken fully open aperture - f/1.2

Great stuff, Stan.
Hope you will be able to have a opportunity to do a comparison between the FD 85/1.2 SSC and the FD 85/1.2L. _________________

hi to all.
I have finished aperture and done some test at infinity.
This lens is AMAZING. I really doubt that the lens is returning to my_photography !! I am just stunned.
One more thing - I do not understand why this lens have aperture numbers f/8 - f/16 - these don't have to be used
The resolving power is astonishing ...
Please, see samples below:
ORIGINAL PICTURE - I think at f/4 or something:
CROPS:
ORIGINAL PICTURE - I believe at f/4 - f5.6
