This is a Tessar design Skopar lens from a Voigtlander Bessa Folding RF-that was torn and broken. I have taken the lens out and apart and cleaned it hoping to use it again . The lens had Fungus behind the front group.

After closer inspection and haze in images taken even after cleaning it ; there is still fungal streaks "between the elements in the front cell/group?"-which looks like the lens groups were switched on this Anastigmat Skopar. This lens seems to have 3 groups and 4 elements => 2 in the front group, 1 in the middle and 1 in the rear group.
If you can shed some light on this -I would appreciate it.
Here are some images I took of the shutter/ lens.

Lens shown with Rear group removed, and front group removed and sitting atop. Nameplate ring removed(held by 2 tiny screws)

I have labeled the lens orientation on the next 2.

The rear part of the front group-
I have cleaned this surface so the glass looks polished and the coating is shiny, and nothing fungal/cruddy is visible when you look in. When you tilt it slightly you can see the fungal streaks( which I tried to capture in the image). It appears to be between 2 elements ---the front has aplain retaining ring of sorts that I have not been able to unscrew.

Is this Anastigmat Skopar lens with a 2-1-1 (Front->Rear) formula? Can anyone pls. confirm?

Best regards

That retaining ring is what you need to unscrew.

There is also a retaining ring on the back of the front cell, you may be able to unscrew that also.

I made a special friction tool for this purpose - for my other Skopars, but it also worked for the 7.5cm one on the Brillant - using a piece of brass tube dipped in Plasti-dip (liquid plastic compound).

Yes there are retaining rings on both sides-I soaked the rings in naptha and used a friction tool made of latex glove wrapped around a stiff 35mm film cannister cap, I tried using a coin in latex glove - That ring wont move, for now .
I will have to find a stiffer rubber friction tool and continue from there.

Thanks Luis
