I am living in an ex-communist country Hungary , I can find lenses from Eastern block locally and rest of it comes from Ebay purchases. Biotar 75 mm fairly uncommon here too, I saw less than 10 copies in last 4 years locally. I bought three of them I also bought three from Ebay. If you see any grab it they are good as their price level shows these days.

I am going to visit your eBay shop!

Hi Attila,
I recent found a biotar 75mm for sale in a local 2nd hand shop. it is a M42 mount, but I was unable to focus to infinity after attaching it to a m42-eos adapter on my 7D.

is there a way to fix the problem? I would really love to buy that lens. (it is very expensive btw), but it will be useless to me if it cannot focus past 10 meters.

please advise... thanks

Try it with a real M42 camera , perhaps your adapter is a factor in it.

Infinity is adjustable by expert an technician.

BTW how many times you shoot to infinity with a 75mm lens, I never...

Hi Attila,
hmmm i have a feeling it may be an adapter issue. will go back and try again.

I wanted to use the lens for half -> full length portraits, so need it to focus slightly further. and the price is expensive going for around 1500 eur. Still wondering if it is worth it ...

any opinions?

thanks

It doesn't. Price is/would be around 700-800 euro.
The store is fishing.
