I managed to pick this up as part of a camera set i got from a Pawnbrokers type place. It consisted of a Fujinon ST801 with this lens mounted condition was perfect, a Hanimex 400 mm F6.3 (Sticky aperture and dirty lens) i have cleaned and fixed the aperture, and a Chinon 200mm F3.5 the aperture is oily, and sticks. All this for £15
So of i went today to take some pictures with the Fujinon mounted on the NEX and i am very impressed very contrasty, and sharp.
It makes a lovely black and white lens.
No Sharpening, but did adjust exposure a little due to me leaving the camera by accident with -1 EV
This is a keeper this lens
Using Two macro extension rings and F5.6
Aperture=F8
Aperture=F4
Aperture=F11
Aperture=F5.6
Aperture=F5.6 _________________ My web site www.digital-darkroom.weebly.com

I have the same, and it too came with a mint ST801. I'm a bit wary of grinding the mount to remove the protrusion that communicates aperture to ST bodies as I planned to sell it with the 801, but your results are making me reconsider. Your pictures are lovely: great colours, sharpness and nice bokeh. _________________ My galleries

I have not ground anything of the body at all it just works straight of the camera on to the NEX all i did was losen the 3 screws from the NEX m42 adaptor that fits in to the mount and bring it forwards by a MM or so _________________ My web site www.digital-darkroom.weebly.com

That Hanimex 400/6.3 might surprise you, I gave one to Enzo and he did some beautiful moon shots with it. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

In general, the Fujinon's especially with EBC (one of the best coatings of its time) are keeper.
I have few 50/f1.4 and 55/f1.8, and they are great! _________________ Duc
