I am looking for a female M40x0.75 (Copal #1 thread) to male M42x1 adapter but I'm not sure such an adapter actually exists. Does anyone know where I might be able to source one without having it custom made (which is my last resort due to cost and delay)?

M40x0.75 (Copal #1) to M39x1 would be OK too.

It's to fit a Tominon lens with an m40x0.75 male thread which normally fits into a Copal #1 shutter. I'd like to use the lens in a normal m42 bellows.

Thanks in advance.
JJ

Well if the bellows was T2 mount, seems like a M40 to M42 ring could be used -- the M42 thread on step ring is x0.75mm thread pitch, same as T2, but that requires T2 bellows.

edit:

Another possibility? Look for a M42 lens reversal ring for 40mm lens filter size, use 40mm gender changer for mounting lens on reversal ring.

Thanks. The problem is finding anything with an m40x0.75 thread in the first place. There are lots of m40.5 step up/down but very little in m40.
