I've been trying out a few different mono conversions recently. I kind of like how this one turned out. (Desaturated and and a couple of color filter layers.)

It would be nice to know some of the conversion techniques used by the chaps on here ; )

i agree, really like the tones. especially how the drops stand out against the leaves. usually i use capture nx 2 to play with bw conversions because they have a filter function so you can fine-tune the contrast between individual colours. (kinda)
