My dogs are my favorite subjects. Hannah, my Rhodesign Ridgeback, is 95 pounds. Cheever, my Dalmatian, is 75. So that's your size reference. Both were born the wrong color -- all black. Hannah has the blue collar; Cheever has the red collar. All these photos were taken with my Vivitar 135mm (M42 mount, bought new by my dad in 1967.) Aperture was f4 throughout.

There will be more photos coming. I took a ton of photos of my dogs with this lens and the 135 TX mount I bought last week to compare the two. Hands-down, as my report will show, this lens is VASTLY superior (even though both are Vivitars from the same era.)

Here are a couple taken with the Vivitar TX. By this time, though, the 90+ Fahrenheit (33+ Celsius) weather had gotten to the dogs and they were hiding in the shade, making for bad photo lighting.
