That Symmar is an amazing sharp lens, hardly known unfortunately.
The details of that Geranium flower come out very detailled. Nicely done!

yes.. this set makes macro-symmar shine bright..

this shot of the same flower with the Schnieder Componon-S 150mm f/5.6 was not bad either.. nice flower to photograph.

Bob, can I ask you, how is the set up with Nikon D3? I want to try someday on my Sony NEX. Is it easy to adapt?

i think the macro symmar is symmetric lens construction so reversing is not necessary but it was easier to use the 42.5mm attachment end to go to 52mm for the extension in the picture.

Very nice ones indeed also using the S-Componon 100mm. Do try that one in UV also Bob, very UV bright flower with interesting UV pattern!
