I cannot really convince myself of buying another RAW developer, because I got ACR (PS and Lightroom) for my job.
I am ready to try freeware solutions, but I wouldn't spend money on others, even if I know that those might be better.

No need to spend more money. There is a 15 day trial to test and it is compatible with LR! Wink

OK, but I then I install it and then forget about it or deinstall it leaving dead files in my system. Wink

True...But what is the point of installing if you are not willing to try it out?
