Good question. You probably asking of later F1.4 or F1.7 or F1.8 lenses? I am sure some auto versions have 8 (YASHICA ML 1.4/50mm) or 9 blades but more?

I about fell off my chair when I counted the blades on my Schneider Xenon 50/1.9 for Exakta. There are 20!

The older lenses tend to have more blades. My Auto Rokkor Minolta 58/1.4 has 8, whereas the MC Rokkor 58/1.4 has 6.

Leica LTM Summitar 50/2 -- early versions have 10 blades--up to serial number 810001.

Additionally, a few of the later ones also have 10 blades--probably using up old stock found under a workbench.
