FE/50F2: Dented soulmates

I've had this filter-rim dented Nikkor 50mm/F2 for a couple of years...waiting for its mate...
...and I found it last month...an equally dented FE...popped in a couple of almost-expired-thriftshop-special 675 batteries...and the shutter works...

...with only minor issues...well, minor to me...no filter use possible, I knew that...and no exposure metering on the FE, something I never had in my F bodies anyway...a nice set....

Looks like that machine had a real life survived! Congrats with the find. What did you pay for it?

Lens and body bought off Craigslist 2 years apart...

The lens was part of a package of Nikon gear that I sold off to friends and fleabay which paid for this F2 and a 50/1.4 that came in the package...
(the 1.4 eventually sold cheaply to a friend to fund its upgrade...a 50/1.4 AIS....)

....the body was part of another deal for yet another 50/1.4 AIS that I kept after fleabaying the above 1.4/AIS...the for what I paid for both lens and body...I sold the slightly better one...

So, in the end there wasn't any net cost...even after paying $1 for a pack of 675 batteries at a thrift shop...

...cheap thrills....just about all I can afford....
