Maybe not the sharpest knife, but a 300mm mirror is extremely compact and a nice small form factor lens! Very Happy

These tiny 300mm lenses usually goes for big money.
IQ is not top quality, but if size matters, this is what you should have in your photo gear bag.

Size comparison to a Komuranon 35mm

Test shot

Great find! I have a Celestron 300mm, also about the same (small) size, very handy indeed.

Serial is NO.783000710

This lens is perfect for light weight traveling. I can finally bring a long range tele lens in my small camera bag. Very Happy

Now that interesting. Sun was making CD lenses for Soligor in that time period.I didn't realize they made mirror lenses for them.
By the serial number it's Sun made in 1983.

That's a nice lens, a handy size for a coat pocket. And a damn sight smaller than my conventional old Soligor 300 lens !

It's not that bad consider it is a mirror lens.
The perfect spy lens, doesn't look like a tele Very Happy

If this lens is really SUN made, then I have a renewed impression of this lens manufacture.

It looks great. I think it just needs a bit of a contrast boost.
