I've put up a blog giving a rough idea of the features of a Mamiya C33 and how it works, if anyone wants to know about that (plus a sample pic shot with the Heliar-clone Sekor 105DS).

It's a camera I'm on the lookout for, so I'll keep a watch here.

Thanks

I got mine for $303 with 65mm black and 105mm DS lenses, which seem to be touted as the best of the lot and able to hold their own against Rollei's offerings. As you can see, it's in good used condition, the top lens of the 65mm has a dented rim (and microscopic examination suggests the taking lens has had a ding straightened out) but the focus and alignment is fine.

Hello Paul
Nice Blog entry. You helped me decide to try one of these heavy beasts.
I just received one with a blue dot 80mm and 180mm f4.5.
The 180mm was what I covet most. Since getting the Tele Rolleiflex I have wanted something that focuses closer (The TR has a 5m MFD).
Mine is a C3 rather than C33. At first I was bothered with no strap lugs. After picking the thing Up I can see that this is primarily going to be a tripod camera Very Happy
Samples will follow from the 180 in the "squares" thread.

Congratulations. I'm just scanning a heap of shots that have come back from the processor and I am very, very pleased indeed with the results. I've also just acquired a 180 lens which is in the post.
My c33 had no strap but I found an old camera bag strap with a broad, padded middle and fixed that on it. Slung diagonally across one shoulder, hanging against the opposite hip, the weight doesn't seem too bad.... though I haven't found out what the 180 adds to it all, yet. Does the c3 have no lugs at all?
