I think aperture was set to f11
I held the lens against a PK13 macro ring because I don't have adapters yet.
80/5.6 requires more distance from sensor so I couldn't put it to the test but it can "focus" to about 20m with PK13, unfortunately it's to small and light comes between it and PK13 so no photos were usable

working distance was around 10cm
focus is on stamens

It is great to see the attributes of these incredible enlarging lenses being recycled now. Lovely shot - don;t you just love the clarity.

A great pic!

I recommend that you should buy a Nikon K-ring set, and 42mm or 39mm - to Nikon F mount adapter. Then you could experiment with different extensions.

I have a feeling that diffraction may have already set in - these colors I see shoudl not be there as it is a purely white flower.
But a great shot I would say and a capable lens. Wait until you see the EL-Nikkor 5.6/80mm results Wink Wink

I thought the 80 and the 50 were both M39 threads?
